Probably still being manufactured some of the larger rides can take up to 6 months to build and by sea it is on average 35 days from port to port, also depends when the order was received in Italy.Vee wrote:Probably. I was asleep when I got his call so I can't remember his name.![]()
Any idea why it isnt here yet?

Oz, Peter ordered the rides back in March/April 2004 from Fabbri and also the Elephant Jet Ride & Crazy Car Tea Cup Ride from SBF.ozshowkid wrote:I'd just like to inform everyone a new ride has made it to Sydney and no one even knew. A new kamikaze type ride was brought to oz called shockwave by Better amusement hire. It looks nice and it is a very quiet ride.
Cheers

a zamperla rocking tug is on its way to a nsw showmen i know its not a thrill ride but it is new. A new ghost train, tango, boster, giant ferris wheel(60metre), a new roller coaster. I was st wondering if anyone else knew that all the new rides purchased all belong to members of the showmens guilds of australia.
come one, come all, come in its time for a showtime spin
lol Oz, was that an unpaid advertisment, it does not matter who are bringing new rides in, as long as someone is, including Movie World, Dream World etc.
Showmen know that they have to keep up with the times, to attract interest at major and local shows, a new ride can generate a huge amount of money, for the first few years for them, so bring it on, it is healthy for the industry.

yes this was an unpaid advert princess i was just pionting out that guil members are travelling the new rides to most COUNTRY shows not just royals.
In other news in the next couple of weeks you will see the FLASHDANCE(explorer that went to china)make its return it looks better then the hyper. This has been totally refurbished by Chants Amusements.
The Turbo is Nearly ready i am sure it will return this year at a country show in the next month. Be sure to see both these classics as they look better then when they came from the factory.
Cheers

Oz, 60 metres is a very large ferris wheel, even bigger than the current Skymaster, this is what I was told anyway, can you confirm this, also my info is that TPA has bought this, so we can expect two large ferris wheels at the capitals? mmmmmmmmm
Great to hear Turbo is back for the enthusists, now Huss all we need is someone to take pity on Rainbow, come on someone bring it back from behind its cloud, its another classic.

If thats true, I wonder what Durkins will make of it. The skymaster is just a bit taller than Osbournes Mega Drop, and thats around 40meters. This would be far more exciting to have a 60m wheel at the shows. It would certainly give us that more european look to the midways.
If Rainbow does get back on the circuit, it will look tiny against all these new majors lol

I disagree there, I think the Skymaster is a brilliant design, that looks every bit as modern now as it did back in 1969 when the first one of the Ferarri design debuted at Sydney Luna Park.

Hey guys. on the subject of the Skymaster wheel.. I dunno if I mentioned this before in my Melbourne Show reviews, but, I was forced to ride the Skymaster for the first time in my life this year. It's really a pretty big deal for me...I am sure most people on the forums here would know that I (and some others too!) are scared to ride Ferris Wheels!!!
I rode it at night with 3 others, and I have to say I liked it a lot:) There was not even a squeak or hint of a rusted bolts breaking off or anything. It was quiet and the view was spectacular. I loved the view of the city lights, and the thing ran real smooth. So, I guess it's official, I am over my Ferris Wheel phobia! yay.
I like the sound of a new 60m wheel. I'm kinda looking forward to this - beleive it or not.

Oh geez Trav, now what am I going to make fun of, even Huss is riding anything he can get his body on these days, though there are a couple of you left.
I agree with you Zamperla, the Skymaster Wheel does look good, it is well maintained and looks good from anywhere you see it, this is definitely going to be an issue in the politics of the capitals, I know there are a couple of rides that a few people would like to see gone at Sydney, of course new rides will take preference over some of the older ones.

Hmm, I'd much rather be the op than the passenger on some of them rides. I can count on my hands the number of different rides I've been on. Probably been on the Python Loop as many times as all the other - that thing is great.HUSSRAINBOW wrote:I used to be scared of heights....now ferris wheels are nothing...Mega Drop is awesome! and Rainbow...is fantastic!
Nothing scares me now!
