Knew Thunderbolt was a definate return, had a very good show last year. Hope Bell's have another good year with it

Great line-up and definitely a loss for Melbourne with XXXL heading west again. Is this the first time Sky View Wheel has done Perth?

its it second year being back to the claremont showgrounds after last year's crowds no wonder why lol, also to mention Skyview was down in fremantle few days after last year's show to bring some money into the suburb

Also like to mention via the Perth Royal Show facebook page most of the bigger rides from Show West, Mitro and Sideshow amusement's already on the grounds getting ready in position.

Just checked the Perth Royal Show IPhone App, their ride list is now updated;

Will be checking it out this Sunday, to pick up my gate pass for day one and also see what's in position with plenty of sneak preview shots added to my Facebook page and on here.

During my early finish from work decided to take a trip down to Claremont Showgrounds,

Not only my first visit for the year since the Neat Ideas christmas party in december, heres a few photos taken today from my Iphone 4S camera;

Samba Baloons parts laid out on the lawn, far right Carnival Amusement's gear.


Splash Down with a new fresh paint job, in stages of being set-up adjendant to Sideshow alley.


Dodgems Raceway (pre-set up)


Sideshow's Super Nova and Mitro's Superbowl (Pre-Set Up) empty ground space reserved for Chris and Luke's SkyWalker/WaveSwinger.


Zipper being in position (Pre-Set Up)


GoldenWay's Extreme Speed (Pre-Set Up)


Unknown Ride...have no idea what it is, however its carrying W.A. Rego plates im thinking this could be the Claw?


Show West's Nitro (Testing) along with the rest of the gear ready to go


Sideshow alley still looks empty, far left ShowTime Amusement's Rage being unracked, far right new kids attraction Gold Mine Train...

Thanks for the comments kiwi,in regards to the SuperBowl it gets fairly used all year round depending which event the company takes it too, has been at the royal show since 2007 and still attracts huge number of riders.

Cheers, never hear much about the ride and would love to see it one day. From what I understand its a bit more complex than the ARM rides in the UK, the base rotates aswell? Guessing it requires more than one trailer?

I can tell you right now that it would be TPA's Super Jump, you can see the hydraulic pistons in the center of the picture and not to mention the car shapes match the ride

Sorry for the delay Kiwi,undertaking a massive flogging of my internet connection of complying my playlists for next weekend. In to your reply yes the base rotates as well,and also requiring about to two trailers (one for back drop and signage, the other its the travelling unit.

Went down to Claremont Showgrounds this morning/afternoon to collect my gate pass,heres another collection of photos taken today.

No problems however I assume SkyWalker will be in Perth sometime tonight or first thing Wednesday morning...therefore didn't photograph.
