Well folks news is out that there will be 2 Major Carnivals in operation at Northlakes and Browns Plains in operation against the Brisbane EKKA.

Northside Fun Fair with run from 10th to the 18th August from 10am-10pm daily at Westfield North Lakes. We will have Free Circus doing 3 shows daily 12pm, 3pm, 6pm, nightly fireworks at 9pm and Free monster Trucks Fri 10th, Sat 11th, Wed 15th, Fri 17th, Sat 18th at 7:30pm

If someone sees Summer Party could they please take a picture of it because I am busting to see what it looks like! I remember when I last saw the Crazy Dancer at Rye during the last summer break and it was looking so tired and well I really felt sorry for the ride. I know that I may be a bit cynical and I apologise if I have offended anyone.

OH MY GOD!!! COMPOSURE HAS DISAPPEARED! It looks a hell of a lot better than it previously did. Miller's Amusements take a bow and PigDog keep on rocking this ride because this family ride kicks arse! Oh before I forget...Thanks for the picture Funderstruck you're a legend!

I see the Pine Rivers show is on as well in August just before the EKKA, so would that be another carnival to add!!
I would like to see a what would be there in rides at that show, is this show big in ride wise or is it small??

Couldnt see it being much of a show with ekka and both other carnivals starting early august.

Woah, I forgot about pine rivers. It feel like every attraction in Australia will be in Brisbane this August, well almost haha.

yeah it does seem most of it will be there, but there are probably other town shows and festivals on in August that we dont even know....

I think we are only a hand full of rides short of the Ekka's lineup this year.

I remember there used to be a carnival at Sandgate whilst Ekka was on in the 70's and in Sydney there used to be Tempe, during RES, did this stop all together, or have there always been
Carnivals on during capitals?

Sydney usually has several carnivals operating at the same time as RES due to the Easter long weekend but most are fairly small; still a lot of fun though and often a good chance to ride classics such as Hurricane and Tilt.

Did used to have St Mary's carnival but that was a big flop, not the best suburb to run a carnival in...
And Space Roller would've been on it's way to Brisbane
