Does anyone have any close up photos of how the safety harnesses work /seat belts on this ride?
I have been told they are slightly altered?
Cheers

It's basically a OTSR, The unlocking mechanism is actually on the Gondola. So the operator has to engage / disengage it before and after each cycle. The actual harnesses are your standard metal over the shoulder bar with a cylinder of padding where it touches your legs / waist. Then there is almost like a triangle metal plate with 5 or 6 holes. The seatbelt is attached to the seat between your legs and has a little clip that connects to each hole (depending on body size to determine which hole)
If the seatbelt is too stretched out to get into one of the holes, you are too large to ride.
I hope this helps.

I'm not sure whether it happend on Bell's Miami and I don't know too many details about the incident except for a very brief mention of it in an article published in the Herald a year or so ago relating to the safety of amusement rides in Australia. This was written shortly after the Speed incident at Luna Park where a ride operator was knocked unconscious.
