Is this Pavier's new purchase? Coffs is sure looking good as is Port Macquarie. I'll definitely be at Coffs and just might have to do PM as well; I'll do reviews and there just may be some pictures although I can't promise anything. :)

the durkins xmas carnival might be going ahead due to the mass amount of complaints after the news papers printed that it was no longer going to be there. i all so agree the claw and chaos should go down to rye it ould be a good change a few new rides down there i have worked rye a few times and its allways a really good carnival any way i should know in the next two weeks if the durkins carnival will be going ahead or not i will keep you all posted

Ben, if you are talking about the "Sky Walker" that isn't Pavier's Purchase. The Sky walker was brought by March Amusements.

Good to hear Matterhorn, it would definitely be very sad not to see it operating, it would definitely feel like something is missing, if its not there, the Fun police are getting worse imo.

Thanks for that guys.

I really hope the Brighton carnival goes ahead; it sure would be a victory for the public against the council if it does. Durkin's make a lot of money during their time there, you just try moving around there on New Year's Eve and Australia Day!

Ben I've heard similar observations - I recall someone telling me they had to shut the rides down one night and tell ticket holders to come back the next night, even though they closed the concessions half an hour before hand.

well yes that was true the police were worryed that all the ppl there would be a lot of fight and other problems last year the ticket boxes were shut down at 11.30 but we did not close till 1 thats when the most money was made if you all had someone who wanted to ride shove $50 in your hand for a ride would you all refuse? thats what it was like not alowed to sell tickets but were told that we could run the riders off a hell of a lot of money was made that night

That doesn't really surprise me... I wont be heading down there this year, and I'm unsure on Coffs as well.

Durkins could be doing a Christmas carnival down on the NSW South coast, they were told at Brighton that they could not open on New Years Eve or Australia Day, because of the crowd control problem. (still undecided at this stage)

Unfortunately you could be right Huss as March's don't usually travel to Victorian shows although they may bring Skywalker down there as they'll be keen to repay the purchase cost by operating it at as many big shows as possible. Let's keep our fingers crossed for Melbourne Show! :)

STEREOSONIC is a music festival on DEC1 at the showgrounds, featuring many aussie dj's and international acts. Rides will be indeed there, so I will have pix up if anything good is there, but Im mainly going for the DJs haha

Got the Line-up for Jervis Bay or Huskison. Joylands do this carnival and its a good line up this year:

Round Up
Hurricane
Cha Cha
Dodgems
Giant Slide
Maybe Wild chairs (not 100% sure)
Tea Cups
Mini Ferris Wheel
Jumping Castles
Flying Elephants
Hot Rod Ride
Helicopter or Rocket Ride
Games and more kids rides

Will be down there to do a full review and take a load of pics

Cheers
