Well guys, only 1 month and 10 days until Ipswich show kicks off and I am excited!

First time going for me and I am looking forward to seeing what shows up! I am hoping personally for a Zipper to be there, I am pretty sure that would do great business!

What do you think will show up?

I will be there to get photos and videos for sure!

My guess for a lineup will be as follows:

Cyber Party
Super Trooper
Power Surge
Flash Dance
Cha Cha
Skywalker
Hurricane
Wave Swinger
Extreme Speed
Dodgems
Fun House of some description and the usual joints / kids rides / inflatables

nice lineup if they come, i would expect Extreme Speed will be attending Gympie this year again since it did good last year but will have to see what comes!!

March's gear does paniyri or gympie these days. Haven't seen any of it out there for years. Last zipper I saw their ekkafan stayed racked on the back of a truck will be interesting to see what shows up though.

I reckon flash dance, hard rock, cha cha, dogems & power surge will possibly show

Interesting... Power Surge normally did the Greek Festival as well I thought... same with Trindalls (So that would mean Cyber Party)

Normally isn't the greek festival a different weekend to Ipswich show? I know it always clashed with Gympie though... I do remember the year that it was rescheduled to run the same weekend as Redcliffe show and that caused some crowd issues at that show... Will be interesting to see which carnivals get what rides... I think i'd be more likely to go to the Greek Fest if I went (easier transport)

Seems to be no news yet on what rides will show up! I am hoping for maybe The Hangover! Love that ride

I will be attending Brookfield, Ipswich and the greek festival to get photos!

You won't be seeing Power Surge at all on the Lower Run this year, looking forward to seeing photos from some of these shows

Interesting to see the Zipper coming back... wonder if it's Dean Davis's zipper coming back out from retirement or the newly sold Castle's zipper? Sadly I probably won't be able to head out to Ipswich...

I will be out there to get photos! What is Midnight Express exactly? I have heard of Midnight Madness only :s hope to god it isn't another Ali Baba

Midnight Express is a Matterhorn ride built by either Reverchon or Sobema (like Thunderbolt) It's newly imported from the UK this year...

I'm pretty sure Davis' Zipper was sold to someone in Victoria?

Well... both zipper unit's have been taken off Amusementz.com.au so who knows. I know Johnny sold his Zipper and just operates his Super Trooper, Joints and Canteen now... could it possibly be Shorts zipper? As I know their dodgems did Ipswich last year.

Hmmm... that basically leaves no Zipper's travelling to most of the regional shows in QLD as both Davis and Castle's Zipper were the ones that did that travelling... pity. Hopefully it mean's Short's travels a bit more.

I would expect short's Zipper will be attending Gympie, we usually get a Zipper but we will have to see...

I hope to god it is Short's Zipper. $25 for unlimited rides all day at Ekka in 2012, was fantastic even though my phone and everything in my pocket broke and hurt myself, great ride!

Ipswich show wasn't great guys. I was a bit under the weather but there were a few things that disappointed me. Cyber Party, great ride always. Not yesterday, mid ride it didn't lift?? I questioned them at the end when the rather short ride was over about why it didn't lift. To which I got a shoulder scrug and reply "have you been on this before". midnight express was ok but u think we have enough of this style ride in the country. An this one isn't faster or better than any of them. Crowds seemed to be down. Official ride list:

Cyber Party was most likely having some issues with the hydraulics as that would be the only reason that it wouldn't have been lifting up. It's a real shame that it wasn't doing that this year as IMO it does add to the experience. I'm all for another Matterhorn style ride travelling to replace Thunderbolt as it doesn't travel anywhere near as much as it used to. But based on the video's i've seen it looks better than Rock n Roll but not as good as Thunderbolt or Matterhorn. (Have not rode Alpine Express so can't judge it)

The other dodgem track would have most likely been Blades considering Midnight Express was there.
