100 Days till Ekka 2012... get excited!

Not really... its a smaller sydney.... you'll probably get Extreme and thats about it

Don't be a Debbie Downer Huss, I've gotta have something to look forward to... IMO its a much bigger royal than Melbourne and as far as atmosphere goes its holding ok, not as sterile and clinical as RES.

Anyway I have heard a rumor they are moving show bag tent from the disastrous location it was in last year.

We've already had Extreme so I assume no new rides for us this year.

yeah i heard that too they were moving the showbag tent, where are they moving it to this year??

Probably only the Rockstar and that's it

Let's hope the moving of the showbags fixes the awful problems of last year. Also, it's worth hoping for the return of No Limit and possibly Thunderbolt.

Don't think well see any of Bells gear he takes it up centre of QLD out to Isa and NT at the same time ekka is on.. No limit is one of my favorite rides of all time!

Show Bag pavilion is being built. New location - should make for an interesting sideshow alley layout

Will be going for sure this year maybe even twice Will get tons of photos !
Anyone else going or working at the Ekka this year?
And does anyone have any clue what rides might turn up? I really hope to see the return of Zipper Power Surge and No Limit

Ekka Showbag and rides list will be released this week, I wonder what will turn up

Surprised that the RNA is actually going to release a full ride list. Would love to see Insanity or No Limit come back onto the grounds... I'd also like to see Cyber Party but I am dreaming with that one (But it will be at Browns Plains which is about 10 mins from my house =D)

Really? That's a surprise... I would have thought they would have taken it to Browns Plains Carnival as thats where the Trooper, Roller Derby and the rest of their gear used to go. I know they wouldn't go back to EKKA due to ground space being much too expensive, one of the reasons Browns Plains is on. A lot of the owners are in Brisbane but don't want to pay for space at EKKA so they do these carnivals and can run the rides cheaper than at the RNA which actually makes a decent amount of money most days of the carnival.

North Lakes will be the biggest carnival this year during the Ekka with Robinsons Circus doing 3 Free Shows daily, Monster Trucks and Fireworks. Not sure of our full lineup as of yet but can confirm Cyber will be at North Lakes

They are moving it to the otherside of Side Show Alley, The Side closest to Taipan and Wood Chopping

One Month till The Ekka. Super Excited Can't wait. Show Bags located in Side Show Alley Again just on the opposite side. Hope a lot of good rides. Ride list should of been released last week but We all know maybe this week. I'll be giving a Full Report of the Show and Possibly some Photos.

Rockstar got on and we all know that was going to happen being brand new but the funny thing is it has been getting slaughtered by Ali Baba's and Midnight Madness when they have been on the same shows.

Nothing new really and pretty much the same line up as last year. The showbag tent in sideshow alley might be here to stay.

I will hopefully in the next 2 weeks have a line up list for Northside Funfair

Was just on near-map and the showbag tent is a lot bigger than last year aswell. Shame though with no Taipan with the looks of things. Only new ride looks like Pirate's Adventure, had heard of it but hadn't seen a full photo of it. Looks good but dunno if I was the Ekka organisers put that on over Cetek's Magic Circus...
