Found this one just listed, $100 000 U.S., might be a good chance to import one while the dollar is up.

ahh yes, Wade's Rainbow, amazing that the arm upgrade is $40,000......
Would love to see another Rainbow here.... although that one would need a lot of work cosmetically

Huss you would probs know what is going on with O'neils Rainbow, it hasn't been operating in a while. I really do not understand why, it was always an extremely popular ride, and he spent so much money on it. It was really something seeing it swoop over the midway in all its glory.

Has Rainbow worked since the incident in europe
was wondering if the manufacturer issued a fix to prevent reoccurance

apparently it's US40,000 to fix the inside from HUSS, there are quite a few rainbow's worldwide that have had the work done.... Fleur's model is france is operating as we speak, and so is the model at Antibes Land.... both doing well....
so there is a resolution to the lower arm, just depends on whether the work will get done

National Association For Leisure Industry Certification
Standards & Related Documents Committee
TECHNICAL BULLETIN – AUGUST 2008
349. Huss Rainbow accident
The committee has been informed of an accident involving a Huss Rainbow ride at Liseberg
Theme Park in Göteborg, Sweden. The result of the initial investigation into the accident has
found that the drive shaft, which is designed to hold the passenger carriage horizontal, may have
failed. It is understood that this drive shaft is fully enclosed and therefore cannot be visually
inspected unless the ride is completely dismantled. The ride manufacturer, Huss has ordered that
all Rainbow rides be temporarily closed whilst they complete the investigation. For further
information please contact Huss at:

There are many devices e.g. ARM Magic Carpet & Chance Inverter, which depend on drive
shafts from the main centre driven slew ring to the gondola drive to keep the gondola in a
predetermined position. On some devices the drive shafts are mounted externally and therefore
are accessible for inspection. Other devices may have the drive shafts enclosed and greater
consideration must be given to the regular inspection of the enclosed drive shaft.
