This has gotten bad IMO

I have discussed this with another member on this forum that its really sad the lack of posts being made these days. Ever since about the end of the VIC show season last year, there have been not as many people posting which I think is pretty unfortunate.

I have noticed the lack of posting in the Christmas Carnival topic, the Sydney Show topic was a shocker, there is usually non-stop talk about the show/rides etc right through the time the show is on, before it starts and sorta after it finishes. Not being picky or stuck up but even my reviews and peoples reviews there has been hardly any talk about the particular shows etc.

I look back at old posts these days and just wonder what has happened. So I'm just getting this out here, I want EVERYONE WHO IS A USUAL WRITER AND THOSE WHO JUST GET ON HERE FOR A READ LIKE SHOWMEN AND INDUSTRY MEMBERS ETC. TO POST IN THIS THREAD JUST TO SEE ALL THE PEOPLE WHO ARE STILL INTERESTED IN THIS WEBSITE GOING Sorry but I know I sound bossy saying this but I just want the website to be like it once was. Sometimes I get on here after a day and there isn't one new post. I remember when I first signed up you would get on here and there would be a fair few new posts. SO comeon guys lets see what we can do.

Yeah I agree. I remember when there was a new post in Public, a new post in Travelling, a new post in QLD.. Etc. Havent seen that in ages. Id love to see everyone posting more often again.

In the six years i have been a member of AAF, this has been the norm imo, sometimes it is hot, sometimes it is not, we have alot of people on here that just come in and read, dont leave comments, just come and go, some of them used to comment, they dont anymore,(you know who you are, Ghosts) we have had some aggressive posts, that can put people off posting, especially when its their first time posting, some of us dont take fools lightly, also we have some people that seem to get pleasure out of making stupid posts, (you know who you are). There is no point in posting if there is nothing to say either.

Topgunner we all respond to your posts, your posts have been great, keep them up.

Also, imo everyone who went to Sydney, bar a couple, (you know who you are and so do we) have left a review, I dont feel that there are anymore or less than usual, depends on whats new or happening. Does this mean that Sydney had something missing this year, that left us not much to talk about.......

Princess, I think you put it well, I agree - it peaks and troughs as hot topics unfold.

As for Sydney, personally, I found it to be fairly similar to previous years, with a few small noticable differences.

After seeing your photos of Hawksbury, Topgunner, I'm thinking I may have to visit this one in 2010 instead of RES!

Keep up the frequent posts Topgun (and other regulars) and keep in mind that 90% of people nodding their heads in appreciation may not have ever made a post before!

Lol no I'm not feeling that bad lol. Just want the forums to be vibrant and popular again. I got a suprise today when I signed in, the Public, travelling, lets meet and diversions threads had new posts which was great to see. As did the NSW and QLD threads

Unfortunately this does not come out of thin air, we dont write about nothing, if something is happening it gets written about, but until then we go through our ups and downs, the majority of us have hung in knowing that eventually one of us will be able to post something of value.

would be good if the mods could actually do some ip checks on user accounts. i bet alot of these "ghosts" would be surprised when they are found out for posting abuse and random lies via other accounts

Agree with what your saying Topgun. I'm still only new to posting here but whenever i feel like i've got something to contribute i'll definitely be here posting.
It would be such a shame if this forum were to wind up due to lack of interest.

i see what people are saying but unforently some people have been really busy and not able to post but all the same the qld run is upon us again so that might help get people powting up here in qld ??? i hope so .
