Dandenong Show 8th - 9th November 2008
Had a quick walk-around at the show today. Weather turned out better than I had expected. I would say a few less majors here this year to last year, but still a good mix of rides (though 3 dodgem floors was pushing it a bit - but all seemed to be fairly busy)
One real surprise for me was seeing March's Hurricane (I have never seen it outside of QLD) It was looking very nice. I put it a close second to Bell's in terms of presentation and colour.
The other highlight was seeing the Zipper with its new paintjob and lights. It is looking 200% better than when I saw it at Dandenong the year before.
Majors there were:
Flashdance
NO Limit
Hurricane (March's)
Zipper (Davis)
ChaCha (Laurie)
Dodgems x 3
Haunted Hotel
Ferris Wheel (Chant's)
4 or 5 large inflatables (Chant's)
Various kiddy rides

Thank you once again for your pics Zamperla. I'm very shocked about No Limit went but no other bells gear didn't and March's Hurricane was a big surprise. Maybe, just maybe it might be going to go to Rye, thats why it is doin a couple of shows in Victoria. Anyway thanks again!

DAMMIT!!! ..if I had known about March's Hurricane I would've been up there in a flash.I trust you gave it a ride Zamperla..how does the experience compare to Bell's?.One thing I noticed from your pics is the "Simply The Best" motto on their Hurricane..wonder if this is referring to the ride in question,or March's as a whole..pretty bold claim either way..Ha Ha!.

(I think) I've never been on March Amusements Hurricane before. I chose Melton over Ballarat or Dandenong just for something different but I am kind of wishing I made the effort get to Dandenong as well as Melton now. Oh well, I hope March Amusements are back in VIC some time soon. I wish they'd bring in Skywalker, I have never been on that one.
