No princess, mmk is saying its a dead loss with Tumbler and some other rides not being in that street, not the street is a dead loss. Lol. Does Trevor still own Tumbler?

My Dad and I are independents I guess you could say, weekenders or afternoon shift is what others would
Trevor not doing the Royal is not a surprise, that the Tumbler isn't either is a surprise. I'm sure he could have found somebody to op it for him. As far as I know he has yet to sell it, though I'm not exactly in the loop.

Ok, thanks for the info about your job and about the Tumbler. Do you and your Dad just own joints and sideshows?

Just a couple of joints at the moment. He used to have a couple of kiddies rides, foodvan and a few joints but the decision was made not long after I was born to scale back. I'm a third generation WA Showmens Association member with half a dozen family being members too.

Yeh, all the Showest rides are right down the bottom near the Chairlift. Is Chaos and Claw there yet? Its funny how Perth show gets a Sizzler, there would be no way RES would probably want a Sizzler on their midway except if it was Pavier's Supa Sizzler. I'll have to make a trip to Perth, looks like a fun show

Quick report guys:
- Chaos arrived, parked in carpark for now
- Claw arrived, still racked but in position where the technojump use to be
- Flashdance fully set up - where tumbler use to be
- Haunted hotel fully set up
- Twin flip has arrived and being set up
- Energy storm - being set up while i was there, however it has taken position where the hurricane use to be - don't think the hurricane will be coming this year as there is now no more spaces.
Im not sure of any other posts on this ride but what do people know about this energy storm ride? it looks like it has a similar style to the orbitor? is it popular? it looked a bit shabby when i walked past it today, although they were setting it up so it may be ok once setup.
looks like everything is here now.
Huge winds and rain in Perth today, one sideshow tent collapsed and the canvas ripped. Also a giant white marquee had toppled over, ripped in half and is ruined. Shows the importance of having properly pegged and tied down stalls!

Geez, we've got warm beautiful weather here today(sorry to rub it in Lol) Energy Storm looks alot better than what it has been. It's a pretty fun ride the ES, bit uncomfortable at times but it goes well IMO. Thanks for the info mmk, any more photos?

Am loving the pre-show posts and can't wait for the reviews! Perth has always been a great event but is improving amazingly now thanks to great attractions from the east and Show West and other local operators bringing in great gear. Enjoy guys!

All joints are required to have bolts in the poles, are they not?
mmk wrote:Shows the importance of having properly pegged and tied down stalls!
Best way is to double peg each corner - one one from each side of the canvas, but I don't need to tell you that
Edit: Just don't scratch the powder coating!

mmk wrote:Brendan, with the amount of powder coating my family use, I think we are better off buying the friggen machine. I still look it looks better than plain steel, and obviously better than paint!
you know what my dad's like, i dont need to explain!. haha
For the stall frames - we dont bolt them - good idea though. But i find with a tight canvas it will hold the whole frame together. You are right about the double pegs - an extra peg or a ruined sideshow game... i know what i'd choose!!!!!
