I had the same thouht as u when i first saw it. Ill test it out when ive ridden it. Probably standin up adds to the thrill more rather than seats

So you actually stand up on the Skywalker? It sure sounds like an interesting ride, one I am willing to try although it does sound quite scary. Will check it out on December 19. By the way, is Space Ball still going to Coffs? I hope it is because it sounds like fun too.

At this stage, SPACE BALL will be at Coffs.

Well Huss Rainbow the March's head to WA whilst Melbourne is on so if you want to ride SKY WALKER then RES is the place to be. To check the ride out go to the KMG Website for photos of the new ride under TANGO

Ben no you don't stand up on Sky Walker - basically the seats are like a slimmed down version of what you get on Spaceroller - from what I can see the restraint hugs you around the waist (goes over the shoulder like Spaceroller) you sit in a row in a similar fashion to Spaceroller.

The Skyview wheel is up and in place at Darling Harbour, it is set right back towards the Entertainment Centre and looks very small in comparision to all the buildings surrounding it.

Went to Stereosonic on Saturday.... was a fantastic day/night!
the rides that were there were:
Hard Rock (Which gave pretty short and slower rides due to the heat)
Twin Flip
Paratrooper
Cliffhanger
Roller Ghoster
Crazy Coaster
Numero Uno Dodgems
Raupen Bahn
Euroslide

and various games. Also a Scrambler was there 2 days before setting up, but it must of had problems, so it was removed from the carnival and wasnt to be seen at all.

HUSSR what a high number of rides for a music event (or was it a carnival, with a couple of stages) ;)

Am interested to know about how popular the rides were - what capacity etc. were the rides running?

Good to see Twin Flip back from its extended 'AWOL'

There are so many good carnivals around at the moment! Like the awesome one Huss described in Melbourne, many RSL Leagues and Recreation Clubs here in Sydney have hired carnival rides for their Christmas parties; look out around town, you might be pleasantly surprised! I know Blacktown Worker's Club just had a good carnival that featured the Ranger, Waveswinger, Rock-n-tug, Cha Cha, Tilt and more!

As for the Skyview Wheel, it's definitely in the wrong place. It should be down near the Wharf, near where the old Wittingslow fun park used to operate, near the present day McDonalds.

Ben, the workers club party was at the showground. Was headed by John Phelan and they had the almighty Top Gun, Youngs Music Trip, Hurricane, Giant Slide, Sizzler, Dodgems and heaps of kids rides. Just to show how many people were there, the centre ring was full of cars and all around the ring cars everywhere

Cheers

You are right Topgunner. The carnival was at Blacktown Showground, was organised by the Worker's Club and I hear the crowds were enormous. A friend of mine who went reckons the queue for the Dogem Cars alone took over an hour to thin out. Were you there? Unfortunately I didn't find out about the carnival until it was over. :(
