Bring on Rye 2009/10...it sure will be a lot of fun, and I can't wait to see the big loop all lit up again. Who knows, might even get down there this year to see it all being set up. Good times.

Yeh should be good. Hopefully I'll see it for my first time this year. I probably did see it ages ago when I was younger but don't remember the ride.

Yeah, will be great to see a classic carnival ride back.
Does anyone remember a superloops that used to travel around about 15-20 years ago, it was a very distinct train where all passengers faced the same direction as opposed to the traditional half one way half the other.
From memory the train was blue with flames down the sides. Is this ride still in the country and who owns/owned it?

I vaguely remember seeing a Super Loop at Coffs Harbour around 10 years ago. It was around Christmas time and I would assume it would have been the Short's model. As they do the Coffs Jetty carnival to this day.

I thought the same thing, looked cool, but it looks like each one operates differently on the videos i saw. Some of the cycles look pretty wild, and most others looked pretty slow and uneventful. Still a wild piece of gear though.

Yeh they seem to be pretty popular the Hi-Rollers in the US just like their brother the SuperLoop. Would be interesting to see how it would go here in Australia

Also just watched a few videos of these on youtube. And wow they look crazy. Especially as the train goes around the curves you would just spin like you were in a washing machine. That track spins alot faster than what I first thought. I think I'd come off pretty dizzy.

I don't think the Hi-Roller was ever very successful. The cars were crammed and a little uncomfortable from what I've heard from anyone who rode it.

Looks like a great concept but I think it missed its mark.

They do look like a tight fit. Look to be uncomfortable if you were in them while spinning around at the speed that track spins at
