Well, considering more and more people are finding out about the LAWNTON incident outside of these forums... I would say I am scared of the ferris wheels for several reasons... 1 Being the obvious, and 2 having people laugh at me!

I just hope there isn't a Wheel at the Jacaranda Festival at the end of the month!

Southern Cross Wheel opens towards the end of November, it was supposed to open for the Melbourne Cup, but the cabins haven't been finished, they're currently being fitted out. Looks awesome though, was at an apartment on Sunday night, on the 21st floor, and to think that I was only just above the Hub was bit daunting haha. Can't wait though.

supposedly, Sydney is going to join the bandwagon and get one too, it looked like it was going to be at Bangaroo, which is at the begining of Darling Harbour, on the eastern side, the top, from there will look completely up the harbour, only interupted by the Harbour bridge, not sure if anyone is overly excited about the idea, it actually looked out of place, maybe they should put some more rides in around this space, Luna Park would not like it, but there is a ton of room there.

This is also where the Pope entertained the hundreds of thousands of people during Pilgrim week, so that should give a good indication of space.

TRUST..... Sydney cannot let us have anything without trying to better it.... even though where our wheel is nothing spectacular

LOL, Huss, I do not think the Sydney one will be as tall as the Melb one, but sorry, Sydney has got something Melb does not, on of the most spectacular views in Australia, (do I sound one eyed)

So... the ONLY safe capital cities for Daniel at the moment as far as wheel's go is... Darwin, Perth, Canberra, Adelaide and Hobart.

Not exactly tourist destinations

Hhaha princess, don't worry I know all about the views in Sydney as there are commercials all over TV here. I still hold The Easter Show as one of the best experiences, and Sydney is always fun when im up there, so no grudges from me.

and depending on what your looking for Hurricane, I actually found Canberra quite interesting - (i was only there for like 3 days tho).

And don't lie, you love Adelaide lol! (and actually they are building Australia's only one arm Ferris Wheel at Glenelg - although it is quite small - maybe you could brave that?)

You clearly need to get out of Adelaide, if you found Canberra interesting lol

Apparently over Xmas there will be a wheel near the Opera House. I'd say its Johnson's. Has anyone else heard anything about this?
