SEEN SOME INTERESTING RIDES.
had never seen a yoyo in australia b4.
Also an interesting very old tilt.
and an very high sizzler in nelson bay where they only load people from the front on one arm at a time, having to push it around seat by seat.

Thanks for sharing all the pics Dell... I have only been to Rye, I had no camera sorry no pics. I doubt I will even get back or make it to other carnivals this year/next... been run off my feet and will be in the new year as well. While I was at Rye I tried out a few of the rides, Crazy Dance was good but it seemed to be a little on the rough side (guess I expected a smoother ride), still was good to see it but as others have said it has a horrible position. Hurricane is running really well and they gave a nice long ride I was not expecting... I did my bloody neck in again LOL. Didn't like the noises I heard from Break Dance?????????. Pirate looks better with the paint, but I skipped it i for the great Cha Cha (which is one of my personal favorites) although was not such a good idea considering my neck already hurt bad from Hurricane and they both spin anti clockwise!!! Walked past Disco 2000 but wished Zipper had of been right there instead. :( I wonder what happened with Mixer?

Wow you sure get around!

I'm hoping to head up to Pavier's Gosford Waterfront Carnival some time next week. Is XXXL there? Is the Wild Mouse operating at Osbourne's carnival in Newcastle? I haven't ridden that Yoyo for ages but I always enjoyed the experience.

Welcome back mate and it is good to have you back on Aussie soil. XXXL is there at Gosford. If you do end up going to Gosford pics would be nice.

I'm here at rye at the moment and Mixer has indeed turned up must have been somewhere else before. It looks like a very messy machine but will see how it goes tonight for it's first run at the carnival. Photos soon.

Shorts Matterhorn looks terrible like that. Doesn't surprise me that Mixer wasn't workin. They should pack up the ride and get Freestyle to be in its spot. It would be good if it was there.

Not surprising at all, the ride is a dud It deserves the 09/10 award for the lemon..

Great work guys, good to see photos of just about all Xmas carnivals on the lower east coast.

I can't ever remember seeing A1's roundup and sizzler, not in those colours anyway.

Anyone heading out to Bateman's Bay to report back on Bell's carnival?

Thanks for the info regarding Mixer, I was not that keen about riding it but I was thinking there must have been some issues with the ride. Anyone know what Port Fairy has? It's interesting to see what is showing up at each location.

edit. I agree about Matterhorn....what were they thinking? sad.

I got out to Bass Hill tonight. Was a pretty small carnival and was missing a few rides which Ive seen there before.. I was sure I saw the zipper and hurricane out there last year.. Didnt go though because it was wet. Rides there this year:

Smalls dodgems
A1's roundup
Super sizzler (A1's?)
Ferris wheel
Inflatables etc.

Had a fun night. No pictures sorry. The carnivals on till the end of January if anyone wants to head down.

The Super Sizzler at Bass Hill is the one from the US with the fold out deck, large backdrop and more modern cars. This type of Sizzler is not that popular in the US.
