Hurricane

Post by kiwi »

A friend was kind enough to take these pictures of another Hurricane that has been brought into the country. He mainly travels the South Island but has ventured up for Rotorua Lake front Carnival.

Otherwise I don't know much information about it. I guess when Rex Newtons left the country someone decided to get another in to replace it.

OMG... is it just me or do the American built units look so much uglier than the Australian built LenMax / Ferrari units? Give it a paintjob and some new lights and we are talking! The colors are fine though, just a bit of a clean up... I am not a fan of the Square cars though, but what can you do

I'd agree with that last comment re: Aus vs USA units.

It's ironic but I think the 'square' cars although more recent, actually look more dated than the rounded ones.

thanks for posting those photos Kiwi

I agree with all that has been said, the 'square' cars look kind of 'dated' compared to what we have here in Australia. The older cars look more aerodynamic, and those curves are very nice to look at...... umm that is all

I agree much prefer the older models, which both of the other NZ units, new from America many years ago are.

I believe the new owner is quite rough so don't expect much work done to it in the near future.

Much more of an exciting ride rather than the hurricane :D

And your right. Them hurricane cars do look very bulky and heavy. Id rather our ones.

 Princess.. You haven't lived untill you have been on a Kamikaze

Ride Ranger at RES this year! Im sure you will love it. And i think Kamikazes are more tame than Hurricanes anyway so im sure you would be fine on it princess. Anyone else agree that is princess could step on a Hurricane she'd be fine on a Kamikaze?

Its more of a fun, slightly thrilling, smoother motion. I love them. Have a go princess 8)

I think she has had her fair share of thrill rides in her past. And she does have a valid reason as to why she doesn't go on these rides... However I am sure she is looking forward to riding Mega Drop and Hard Rock at Royal Easter Show this year

Just ask Matt about her first ride ever on that... she wasn't too happy about the fact the ride broke down JUST before we got on! But she was going no hands by the end of it!
