Long time Wok
Long time Wok
I am currently in a gap year and am looking to work and travel for the second half of he year, so i thought i should combine this with my interest in carnival machinery to apply for work traveling with a carnival company. Just wondering if anyone could give me insight into what this life would be like for 4-6 months and who would be the best people to try and get in contact with. Thanks.
Re: Long time Wok
Hey Mate,
It's tough work, travelling you'll be living in shared accomodation. Caravan/Truck with +6 other people. Days are long but if you aren't afraid of hardwork its good fun.
I'd recommend trying out with a local operator first to see if you can handle the physical demands of the work before you take off traveling. Go to a show and talk to the loaders, ask them what their living conditions are like.
Cheers,
Force
