Gill's Stardancer

Post by Top Gunner14 »

Does anyone know what has happened to Gill's Stardancer. Last time I heard of it was at Moomba a couple of years back. And the last time I saw it was ages ago at the Hawkesbury Show. Can anyone please tell?

Cheers

I've wondered about this myself. It was a pretty good ride, debuting at the 1997 Royal Easter Show under the name Centrepoint 2000. It operated over three subsequent years or so at Homebush before disappearing off the capital city show circuit and has now been upstaged by the Skyview although the two Ferris Wheels are quite different to one another.

The last places I saw it, was Moomba in 2006, and Rye Carnival 2005....

Yes, I enjoyed the ride, it's just totally disappeared since hearing of it last at Moomba in 06. Even if it still went to the capitals, I think it would still be popular even if it's competing against the 2 wheels. It also used to always come to Hawkesbury but where it used to site now stands the Skyview wheel. Bit of a shame it's not around.

I think we should just face facts, that all the good rides are either owned by people who don't want to travel them, or classic rides that now just sit in the owners properties...

I would guess we will see more and more rides not traveling with the fuel prices and the staffing problems currently

I didn't know HUSS still made Rainbows. I cant seem to find anything on there website but anyway. If I win the lotto (over 30mill) I'll buy you your very own rainbow for Christmas or your birthday ;)

Huss have ceased making the Rainbow. They now focus on making park rides.

Ok, Thanks for correcting me Huss. I just new that they stopped making Rainbow. I'd say it would cost a fair bit of money if you wanted one made.

HOLY COW, geez, it'll take you a while to save up for a brand new one. That's very expensive, I thought it would just be over $1 Mil
