yeah likewise OzShow was good to have a proper chat without the busy hustle of the capital show crowd pity about the rain keeping people at home on friday night though. I found it refreshing to see some different gear I wouldn't normally see at the capitals.

Watch this space - I will post photos of the rides at the festival in the next couple of days.

Not 100% on owners, OzShow can elaborate, but rides there were:

Dodgems
Ghost Train
Hurricane (Dragon City)
Sizzler (Dragon City)
Miami
Scorpion
Fun House
Tilt-a-whirl
Super Slide
Mirror Maze
various kiddy rides

Great Pic's Dave! It's scary that I haven't seen the Scorpion since 2003 in Canberra. I think that Miami is Osbourne's unit, and the Tilt is Browns I think.

Also with Dragon City's Sizzler, that looks alot like the Ex Trindalls Unit, I wonder if it is or not. The Hurricane also looks good, but not quite as good looking as Bells or Marches unit, What was the bouncing like on it?

the Hurri was giving a great bounce and seemed like one of the loudest air bursts I've ever heard (but it could have been echoing more due to the empty grounds) both Hurricane and Sizzler have been bought from New Zealand (but both were originally Australian-made units before their ownership in NZ) - the Miami Music Trip has been sold (but used to be owned by Osbourne)

A good lineup for the festival and I'm sure the pics are great too.

It seems Scorpion is doing a lot of Victorian shows and carnivals at the moment; I think its days at the RES are numbered if not over.

Is Wittingslow's Labamba still operating? It was looking pretty run down last time I saw it but that was a few years ago. I think it was brought into Australia in 1996 and may have been Wittingslow's last purchase.

That is the ex L&L osbourne unit. I remember my mate telling me who owned it but i forget. Shame about scorpian. Probably no more sydney or hawkesbury days anymore. Hurricane and sizzler of dragon city looks great. Tilt looks fantastic. First time ive ever seen it

that music trip is now owned by Bill aka. billy the wog, top guy and he runs the ride really well, he is hoping to re paint it soon.

why will scorpian no longer be at RES? i thought it was a good ride

Hmmm... I guess i'll have to try the Dragon City Hurri if I ever see it. One of my favorite sounds of a Hurricane is the starter motor kicking in, just as the cars start to swing out. It's a pity the QLD show run has now finished, I didn't get to go to many of them this year.

If I end up going down to Coffs This year, it's still really unconfirmed as to what is going on there, and does anyone know of any staff at Coffs needing workers?

And PNC, Maybe you should consider investing in a Scorpion or a Force 10

the force 10 would kill my para trooper, however i am interested in selling that as well, i would like a hurricane, but i only need one major ride at the moment

Hmmm... If Bell's ever sell there Hurricane and you buy it, I'll consult you for a private function in my backyard

Let me know if your doing any Fete's etc on the Gold Coast / Brisbane South-side so I can come and try out you Trooper. I haven't rode one in over 2 years :P

Thanks for the correction Huss. I had thought Spin Dragon was purchased in early 95 with Labamba coming along in early 96. Good thing I'm not writing a history on this topic!

I think HUSSR is right on this one but only just. Both rides were purchased within 12 months of eachother (I think)
