Anyone know what is down at Geelong? I'm guessing a similar line up to last year?

I have been unable to get any information - I would prefer not to know, but this forum rarely gives me this option.

Dragon City's Hurricane would be nice.

I went to the Geelong Show yesterday. Rides there were:

Mega Drop
Crazy Coaster
Roller Ghoster
Cliff Hanger
Speed
Scorpion
Ali Baba
Hang Over
Verfurths Big Wheel (Ferarri)
Zipper (ex Witts being run by Davis?)
Dodgems x 2
Explorer simulator

I think that covers most of the majors.

The weather was perfect, blue skies and the crowds seemed quite strong.

I was a bit dissappointed not to see any other rides, as everything there was at the Melbourne Show (except for Scorpion and Mega Drop) - was also hoping to see Millers Sideshow history tent, but it was not there this year.

There were plenty of cheap options for families with the Lions Club selling cold drinks for $1 and hotdogs and sausages for $2 (can't beat that value anywhere let alone at a show!)

Admission was also reasonable for $34 for a family, with up to 3 kids.

I took some photos which I will post soon.

Good 2 hear the show went well. How was Dean Davis' Zipper going? Running well. As u said, the lions rotary club always do nice lunch and decent food 4 a cheap price.

Cheers

Didn't even have Techno Jump, Breakdance or Space Roller? I always thought that The Royal Geelong Show would be quite large? I am quite surprised!

Actually I forgot to add it did have a Techno Jump (not Laurie's but the other one that was most recently in Perth)

Is that the Super Jumper by any chance Dave?

Hurricane, yes that sounds about right, I paid little attention to it, when compared to Laurie's it seems to be a slightly cheaper package and lacks the refinement of Laurie's. I think it sits lower to the ground, perhaps on a dolly trailer or something. It seemed to be fairly popular. Interestingly, if a car is empty, the arm will just stay lowered for the whole ride duration. (doesn't look very good, asthetically when watching the ride)

Hmmm... If the unit your talking about is a Purple armed one, I know which one it is. The unit appeared at the Brisbane Panyirri (Greek Festival) this year. I found the harnesses to be a bit uncomfortable compared to Lauries, and the program wasn't as exciting. I think the reason it may remain lowered, but I'm not certain about it is because it's a newer model.

thats not actually the case, I watched a few cycles, it seems TPA has two broken hydrolics... they were never loaded, ive seen this problem on a few overseas models, with some arms staying down for the entire ride.

Hmmm... I wonder why TPA don't get it fixed.
