AAF uniform

Post by Force10 »

Just had a thought today we should get AAF shirts made up? I know this sounds lame but would anyone be interested in this if I looked in to it? This forum is pretty well known amoungst the showies and if they know u are from here u are sure to get one he'll of a ride!! let's face it those of us who are on here who aren't showies wish we were!! We could actually through around some logo's designs etc then vote on one then just distribute it online around the group so we can each take it to our local screenprinting shop or iron on transfer place; one of my ex girl friends got a shirt made for me this way for my birthday with 'I wanna be a carnie' written on it. Wore it a few times but couldn't settle with the fact it was carnie and not showie! We are in Australia afterall! Anyway let me know what ya think?!

Yeh we've discussed this before I think. Would be something fun and different to do.

I'm keen, we have made a few different crew uniforms over the years for my race team each year,
and from what i've noticed, the light cotton polo's seem to be the most worn and don't fall apart
or fade etc. Just some info anyways...
Nothing worse than trying to save a few buck on the quality of the shirt and it not being comfortable...
Sounds great!

I will remain anonymous, I quite like, that know one knows who I am,(ok maybe a couple) as long as you dont look like some wankers, subtle is good.

You could have on the T, AAF supports Australian Showmen, oh here's a good one get the guild to sponsor it. :D

I was also thinking along those lines princess, however don't know how easy it would be to convince the guild to support us, but would be excellent if they did come on board... But just remember you don't have to wear the shirt to every show. I like the idea of being able to 'mystery' shop. (and the shirts would be good for meets and group things) But the shirt i'm suggesting wouldn't be really obvious, maybe it would look more like an operators polo shirt??

Hey guys. We used to have white polo shirts with the AAF logo on it (the old green logo) back in the beginning. We did get recognised wearing them. We had members from theme parks who would notice the shirts and stop for a chat.

Seeing a few people are interested I will add it to the list with the calendar and getting the rest of the site back up and running. Sheez, I have my work cut out for me.

Thanks for the offer of help guys. I am currently rebuilding the AAF site using eZ Publish CMS from the old site which was just done in frontpage. So most of the work is putting together the new structure and cutting and pasting the old data - which is quite hefty. Plus I am redoing all the images. Sorting out the old from the new and putting up a mix.

So while I appreciate the offers of help, it is pretty much up to me getting the work done. However, there is one thing I could use your assistance with. What is some ideas of a new logo? I am looking at somthing crisp, clean and that represents both the portable ride and amusement park areas. It also needs to be something that can be put onto T-Shirts too now.
