Re: Fisher's Ghost Carnival 2013
That's a huge layout for a carnival! All it needs is Thunderbolt, No Limit, Space Roller and Hurricane and we have what would IMO be one of the best carnivals in Australia! Throw in a Zipper too for good measure!

Re: Cootamundra Show 2013 Pics.
About time that Octopus got some TLC. It was looking pretty run down when I saw it in 2008 and again in I think 2010. The ride itself runs pretty well, but it honestly looked like garbage. I'm very glad to see Flarherty's spending money over time overhauling their gear. I know how expensive it can b...

Re: Question?
I honestly think it's disgusting that someone that young even with parental supervision be allowed to go on a ride like Dodgem cars at all. I feel that realistically for Dodgem cars they should be a minimum of 90cm to ride with an adult (or 4 years old) and 110 - 120cm to ride alone (or say 7 - 8 ye...

Re: Any ride you want
It would explain why Mondial only sold I think two? (Heartbreaker and Phoenix). Airmaxx360 was a pretty lacklustre ride if you ask me too, it looks good but the ride experience is pretty average. I sorta feel the same way about Techno Jump... if I want a bouncy ride, give me a Hurricane

Yeah... I was thinking that, they just look like a glorified Music Trip... They really look boring as all hell.

We already have a Zamperla Air Race at Dreamworld. A travelling one would be good as they are a very fun ride!

Re: Mega Drop
There's no point it really being at the EKKA when The Giant Drop is less than a hour down the road. Not to mention IMO it really isn't a spectacular ride.

Re: Any ride you want
I'd rather just keep the one KMG inversion, no point doubling up on rides really. If we were to get another "double up" I'd love to see another Mondial Furiozo or Capriolo to do the QLD shows since Bells have stopped doing EKKA and most of the QLD shows. If we were to go for a unique ride,...

Re: SIZZLER / CHA CHA
So, I've got confirmation that the Eli Bridge Scrambler that resides at Kingston Park Raceway (QLD) is the ex downunderland model that has been refurbished and installed around 2004 - 2005 at the current location along with the Astro Karts being purchased from them. The unit does run well, but I per...

This model will also feature KMG's new harness system (Lap Bar's only) Does anyone know who B+B Amusements is / where they travel?

Re: New KMG Speed for Goldenway Amusements
I am really undecided on weather I like the look of this unit over the original one. IMO the original one looks much cleaner and simplistic and at night looks great. I really do wish they did something a bit more with the lower panelling though as it's very plain.

G Force Removed
Hey guys, Luna Park just posted a picture on their facebook page of the G-Force (Reverchon / DanFab Explorer) being removed stating that a new ride will be replacing it in the coming months. I wonder if the ride is going to be scrapped or put up for sale, hopefully it will be put up for sale as the ...

Re: New KMG Speed for Goldenway Amusements
Would seem a bit odd if they were sending it back calling it "Speed 2"
That's just my opinion really. I almost feel like it would have been better just naming it "Speed" even if they are 2 units that appear to look much the same.

Re: New KMG Speed for Goldenway Amusements
They are getting two models so they can do more shows...there is the demand for these sort of rides. For example they could do Melbourne with one, and Perth with the other. IMO it's not a bad business move and with Chants Freestyle not doing many shows in QLD any more its a perfect idea to be able t...

New KMG Speed for Goldenway Amusements
According to the KMG Rides Facebook page, a 2nd KMG speed is under construction for Goldenway Amusements named "Speed 2"
Here is a pic of it under construction:

Re: Northside Fun Fair 2013
Will likely get a look at Browns Plains Carnival myself. Drove past today and could see what appeared to be Dale's Cha Cha... Flarherty's fun factory was there too (so i'm assuming Shockwave and Octopus will be there too)

Re: SIZZLER / CHA CHA
I'm actually fairly sure the Ex Downunderland Eli Bridge Scrambler is now at Kingston Park Raceway... Along with the old Astro Karts (Circular Dodgem cars). Would make sense as they likely brought both of the rides at the same time from the same buyer and as far as i'm aware Kingston Park have had t...

Re: Ekka 2013
I remember when XXXL first debuted at the EKKA it was $15 dollars but was quickly dropped down to the usual $10 dollars because no one was paying for it. IMO it's pretty good the prices in general being streamlined ($10 for the extreme rides / roller coasters and $8 for the rest of the rides with a ...

Re: Ekka 2013
Just updated the rides list with prices, and it does appear to be Durkin's wheel (my bad) One thing that I noticed is XXXL's price has been jacked up to $15 per person! Making it as expensive as Extreme Speed (and tied for the most expensive ride at the EKKA) I would love to see how well it's going ...

Re: Ekka 2013
Yeah, changed last year as far as i'm aware. And if I had to choose a big wheel for the EKKA it would be Skymaster followed by SkyView and then Dean's wheel. Durkin's chance model just looks nasty and dated. Personally i'm not a huge fan of Dean's wheel as it looks a bit bland but it's far from look...
